China is actively promoting the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases. The development of renewable energy is off to a good start this year

In the first quarter, 10.4 million kW of new grid-connected wind power was installed, including 9.89 million kw of onshore wind power and 510 million kW of offshore wind power. The three northern regions accounted for 67.7 percent of the country’s new installed capacity. The average utilization rate of wind power in the first quarter was 96.8%, basically unchanged from the same period last year. About 24.9 billion yuan was invested in wind power, up 15 percent year on year.
In terms of photovoltaic power generation, in the first quarter of this year, 33.66 million kW of new grid-connected photovoltaic power was installed, up 154.8% year on year, including 15.53 million kW of centralized photovoltaic power and 18.13 million kW of distributed photovoltaic power. In the first quarter, the utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation was 98%, up 0.7 percentage points year-on-year. The investment in solar power generation reached 52.2 billion yuan, up 177.6 percent year on year.
At present, China is actively promoting the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases in desert, Gobi and desert areas. Wang Dapeng introduced that up to now, the first batch of 97.05 million kW base project has been fully started, the project grid work is actively promoted, and strive to be completed by the end of this year, all grid operation; The second batch of base projects have begun construction. The third batch of base project list has been officially issued and implemented recently.
Coal is the “ballast stone” of energy security and stable supply, coal mine intelligentization is of great significance to ensure the safe and stable supply of coal and promote the development of high quality industry. Ren Lixin, deputy director of the coal department of the National Energy Administration, said 1,043 intelligent coal mining faces and 1,277 intelligent driving faces have been built nationwide. Intelligent coal mines have played a key role in increasing coal production and ensuring coal supply in the past two years. According to dispatch, seven key coal enterprises such as National Energy Group and China National Coal Group have built intelligent production capacity of 1.393 billion tons/year, accounting for 74.7% of their total production capacity, and the average labor efficiency of fully mechanized mining face has increased by 27.7%.
The intelligent development of coal mines has also strongly promoted the transformation and upgrading of upstream and downstream coal industries. According to preliminary statistics, the total investment in intelligent coal mine construction in China is nearly 200 billion yuan, and the investment completion rate exceeds 50%. The increase in intelligent market demand has effectively driven the rapid development of new industries and new business forms, such as the Internet of Things in mines, coal machine equipment manufacturing, intelligent control systems, safety monitoring and early warning.
The new energy vehicles of our country have flourished in recent years. By the end of March, more than 18,000 charging facilities had been built in more than 5,700 highway service areas across the country, further guaranteeing people’s travel charging needs, said Zhang Xing, deputy director of the comprehensive department of the National Energy Administration. Recently, the National Energy Administration, together with the Ministry of Transport, issued the Notice on effectively doing the work of charging service guarantee for new energy vehicles during Holidays, which put forward practical measures from continuously improving the charging guarantee ability of the whole society, carrying out charging demand prediction in advance, comprehensively carrying out the operation and maintenance inspection of charging facilities, strengthening holiday charging guidance and other aspects. We will strengthen the ability to provide charging services along highways and in scenic spots, and optimize people’s holiday travel experience.
How can the energy sector contribute more to rural revitalization? Dong Wancheng, deputy director of the development planning department of the National Energy Administration, said that the measures will be mainly taken in four aspects: First, continue to implement the rural power grid consolidation and upgrading project. We will focus on remote areas, poverty alleviation areas and other areas with weak rural networks, intensify construction and renovation efforts, and further improve the quality of rural power supply. Second, we will build pilot counties for rural energy revolution. With counties as the basic units, we will promote the high-quality development of rural clean energy, explore the construction of a distributed and comprehensive low-carbon energy network with multiple and complementary functions, and integrate the clean energy industry with the development and expansion of the rural collective economy and the construction of livable and viable rural areas. Third, we will ensure clean heating in northern China in winter. At present, the rate of clean heating in rural areas in northern China has exceeded 60%. The National Energy Administration will steadily and orderly promote new clean heating projects to ensure the stable supply and sustainable operation of clean heating energy. Fourth, accelerate the construction of charging infrastructure. We will explore ways to integrate charging facilities with photovoltaic and energy storage, increase support for the construction and operation of charging networks in counties and villages, and create favorable conditions for new-energy vehicles to travel to rural areas.
